Graduate of Princeton University, Russell is originally from the city of Philadelphia and has a PR of 1:46.40 in the 800 and 46.95 in the 400. Russell also received the coveted Spirit of Princeton Award and was pivotal in saving Brown track and field and bringing awareness to the racial disparities within collegiate athletics with his article, “Brown University, If You Were Actually Serious About Racial Justice You Would Not be Cutting the Men’s Track Team.” Russell is an incredible person with so many talents and we had an incredible conversation.
