At the beginning of September, we attended the S2P conference in Brescia. It is the conference on semi-solid research. Staffan talked about the venting of tools, and Fabian presented a market study for new Rheocasting series production applications. In our Gold Nugget we talk about our findings.

The whole product spectrum of an HPDC foundry is changing. Smaller foundries face serious challenges. Yet, basically, no foundries attended the conference. Where were they? Is an academic conference the wrong environment? Would an industrial summit be a better room for exchange? Let us know in the poll below or via email.
