Episode 13 with the incredibly multi-talented Artist, Musician, Composer, Teacher Raven Chacon. Spanning a huge breadth of artistic and musical possibilities, Raven is a part of the art collective Post Commodity, has collaborated with Kronos Quartet, and Deerhoof's John Dieterich to name just a few. We talk about his early musical education, running The Beatles backwards, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Mr. Bungle, and the benefits of not sleeping. It was a real honor to get to chat with him. Stay Gold!

Episode number 12 with the fabulous Mauro Woody! She's an excellent singer and songwriter who you may know as Lady Uranium or from the awesome band Chicharra. We had a real blastie and got into all kinds of zany stuff including the mysterious wizard Melanthius, and Star Wars on Ice! Episode number 11 with my man Mr. Jasper Schriber of I ❤ Metal, Ghost Circles, and Cherry Tempo fame! Event though I've known Jasper since high school, we managed to cover new territory. We chat about film, t.v. his love of Paul Simon's Graceland album, how Modest Mouse changed his life and emo revival stalwarts The Hotelier. Plus Jasper sings a fabulous song he's written called TV Set. Great times! Stay golden!

Hey! It's episode number 10 with the fabulous Peri Pakroo! This the first episode where I've talked with someone I hadn't met before, and it couldn't have gone better! During our whiskey laden chat, we found out we had a lot in common; including a love of The Beatles, and a fondness for Americana. Peri introduced me to Howe Gelb of Giant Sand and got me to appreciate The Greatful Dead! As an added bonus Peri brought in her guitar and sings one of her lovely ditties! So golden!

Episode #9 with the fabulous Mr. Billy Bellmont, as he would say so himself this one was a banger! We talked about his songwriting process, tricky ways to use tired chord progressions, the genius of U2's With or Without You, Modest Mouse, and he introduced me to my new favorite group Land of Talk. Episode #8 with my old pal the talented designer/calligraphist and musician Rodney Ibarra. We talked about design, growing up in El Paso, graffiti writing, Peter Tosh, The Dead Kennedys, Cloud Nothings and get to a hear an awesome new demo from his band Surefire Broadcast that he recorded with one of my favorite producers J. Robbins. Great to see him after all these years!

I caught up with Rob fresh off a plane from Boston to chat about his church upbringing, The Everly Brothers, Swedish country music and everything in between.
