In this Episode Ali tells us about some children's books from the 1980s one of which really hits her in the feels, then Ben watches an episode of "Who's The Boss" where little Samantha enters into the seedy world of Rock 'n Roll as A manager of A band. Then we say goodbye to the guy who was "Just A Friend" Biz Markie.

Of the three intentional subjects this week (unintentional ramblings don't count) two hit the mean streets in 1984. First up we break out of our mold and actually talk about A good movie: Paris, Texas (1984). Then, our non-1984 entry comes in the form of A visit to Disney's Adventures Of The Gummi Bears (1985) - an animated series based on A German candy but also pulled out of thin air. Thirdly, Ali gives us the chart topper of 1984, listen to the episode if you want to know...

This time around we talk about Kevin Smith's upcoming revival of the "Masters Of The Universe" series and the 3 times that Tommy James and The Shondells were remembered in the 1980s pop charts. After, we discuss watching the 1982 fantasy B movie "Sorceress". And the episode wraps up with us remembering some of the works of Frank Bonner and Ned Beatty who both recently passed.
In this episode Ali reads A Roald Dahl book where A kid creates A formula from things around the house which results in big grandmas and has mixed results on chickens (doesn't work in real life). We both watch the movie "Horror Show" which may be known to some as "House 3" where the spirit of an executed killer is brought back to physical form with electricity (also doesn't work in real life). Finally, A well known music group who can't be reached by calling either 911 or 999 despite having members from both sides of the pond has a #1 hit in 1983 by chronicling infidelity with A catchy beat.

This episode predominately focuses on the teams childhood fixation with the beautiful Erin Gray. We discuss Erin A little off camera before we watch episodes of the sitcom "Silver Spoons", Sci-fi show "Buck Rogers", and "The Hitchhiker" horror anthology series showing us that Erin not only has beauty but she also has acting range as well by heating up the small screen in 3 different genres! And of course there's some off topic discussion about other things including the loss in our family last week, an unattractive pro wrestler, and so much more!

In our most combustible episode yet Ben and Ali remember Tawny Kitaen. Next, we kindle the fire as Ali takes us back to when they made A TV movie about A Michigan woman's homespun take on marriage counseling with "The Burning Bed" before we visit the first of Harvey Weinstein's sexually inappropriate interactions with A co-worker with the slasher classic "The Burning". Be careful it's still hot as the grandpa from "The Princess Bride" busts A killer in the Columbo episode "Murder, Smoke, and Shadows". Be sure to stay 'til the end for A teaser of our new theme song!
