I grew tired of hearing my daughter be taught the same recycled surface level information in school about Black History Month: Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, & Barack Obama. So I took matters into my own hands and added some additional names to the curriculum. Claudette Colvin, Irene Morgan Kirkaldy, Jane Bolin, Bayard Rustin, Bass Reeves, Bessie Coleman, Lewis Latimer, and a few others. Our history is so RICH yet they hide so many of our Golden Figures.
