In Washington State, we have the opportunity to defeat a genocidal, strike-breaking Democrat, Adam Smith, who has been in office for 29 years, and to elect the first ever revolutionary socialist in the US Congress, Kshama Sawant.

Around the country, working people are throwing out incumbent, warmongering Democrats who have backed the genocide in Gaza and carried out a bipartisan assault against our interests. Working people everywhere are fed up with the immense inequality in our society where billionaires parade around in yachts while most of us are struggling to afford basic necessities like housing, medical bills, and groceries.

Our campaign is by far the most threatening one in decades to the Democratic and Republican parties, and the entire billionaire class which backs them.

Kshama has a long track record of leading movements to beat the billionaires, like when she defeated Jeff Bezos to win the Amazon Tax. She also defeated the corporate landlords, including billionaire Trump-donor Martin Selig, to win unprecedented renters rights. We need a proven working class fighter like Kshama in Congress to go to war against the political establishment to fight for free healthcare for all funded by taxing the rich, national rent control, and an end to all military aid to Israel.

I read one of Castaneda's books in my early teens, was fascinated but wasn't sure what to make of it. A very interesting discussion, especially where it intersects with the story of ethnomethodology, which I read about in another book, The Trickster and the Paranormal, a number of years ago.
