We are back! After a 2 year hiatus, I am back to interview my friend Cort Howell, producer of Mayberry Man, on the movie him and his brother Stark brought to life. Mayberry is a wonderful movie about the power of Mayberry festivals and was entirely crowd funded. As a supporter, I had the opportunity to be an extra and be apart of a weekend of filming in Danville, IN. It was a wonderful experience.

Cort and I discuss everything from the challenges of crowd-funding a movie (especially during 2020) to getting the Mayberry spirit in select theaters across the United States.

Kenneth has great stories on meeting Don Knotts, Ernest Borgnine, George Lindsey, James Best, Betty Lynn, Jean Carson, and many other great actors (most being from The Andy Griffith Show).

Lot of fun facts about unknown continuing errors in the show too and random behind the scenes stuff!

Overall it's just two friends talking about The Andy Griffith Show for over an hour. I highly recommend this episode!

Lookalike contest winner Gerald Holladay as an extra on The Andy Griffith Show episode "Andy Forecloses".

Mike Creech guests to discuss an Andy Griffith lookalike contest that took place all the way back in 1961 that he wrote about for the Mayberry Times called "I Don't Really Think That I Look Like Andy Griffith". The winner was Gerald Holiday and he was flown over to Los Angeles to meet The Andy Griffith Show cast,appear as an extra on the show, meet Milton Berle, etc.

Mike also talks of another article he wrote called "Let's Go to the Fishin' Hole" on his trip to California where he was able to meet Andy's manager Dick Linke, Rance Howard, Hoke Howell, etc. As well as stories from the encounters he's had with Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Jim Nabors, Hal Smith, etc.
