Good Enough Gaming Pod

Well another Fu*ktastic year in society has passed yet we find ourselves in the holiday season ready to give praise and thanks, and write our list for what we want to find under the tree. We might be greedy and cynical at times, but we do have the capacity to show some love and gratitude. Join us as we wrap up 2021 Good Enough style.

We will be away next week for the Holidays but we will be back in the New Year with a new episode dropping on January 5th!

Happy Holidays from the GEG Team!

So join us as we give mention to some games that fell under the radar this year at the game awards, some of them can’t escape our wrath!

Tomorrow is the Game Awards, and we of course would like to offer our insights as to who should win this year! If any of us are correct it’ll be a Christmas miracle!  As well we look ahead at what is coming in 2022 that gives us all a little chubby of anticipation. You know, all the games that Kyle won't have time to play, Trevor will play with his wife, Jordan will play through as quickly as possible, and Darrell will grovel at the platinum trophy difficulty.

With the news of the classic X-men show from the 90’s getting new episodes made, we would be remiss if we didn't talk about that show and the other great cartoons from the 90’s that helped shape us into the mega nerds we are today. Gather Good enoughers, as we stroll down memory lane and re-visiting some of the weeknight and Saturday morning classics!

Note: We had some audio issues with Trevor's Mic for the first half. Bear through it and we promise it gets better!

This just Jin, we are talking about a single game again! One of Playstation's highest regarded titles in a long time, is it all hype or is this thing for real? This week we break down the Ghost of Tsushima, and we ask ourselves Samur-why this game has been so well received by the public and remastered already for PS5.

**SPOILER ALERT** We talk about certain key points and endings in this episode. If you want to remain spoiler free be sure to come back to this episode after you've beaten the game!

In light of the news of the Mario movie casting information that had recently been released, we found ourselves reminiscing about season 1 and the atrocious games turned into movies we had discussed. Some of which have been watched since that episode. Indulge us as we take another giant dump on some of Hollywood's biggest blunders.

Just when you thought we couldn't possibly talk about more nostalgic stuff on this podcast, Nintendo comes out with the introduction of the Sega Genesis and N64 emulators for the Nintendo Switch. Now we can all relive the glory days of sleepovers, with copious amounts of snacks, slurpees and late night frustration with a game, all from the comfort of home, while paying a premium for the service and for the terrible dietary decisions in our thirties.

Not afraid to deal with some hard hitting topics, like; death, the afterlife and spiritual release? OH BOY! We’ve Rot a game for you! Put on your Rot hat and strap in for a deep dive with your favorite Good Enoughers and after...life won’t be so mysterious when it comes to this game.

Well enjoy as we take a midnight stroll down the dark and lonely road that is our memories this week as we discuss our favorite scary games and movies.

There was so much to comb through this past weekend at DC FanDome, some updates, some old stuff and some new. Didn't have 10 hours to watch it all? Don't worry! We got you covered, we will sum everything up for you, because not all heroes wear capes, some wear sweatpants and graphic t-shirts. The Court of Owls is now in session.
