Today we discuss the push to unionize in the video game industry. Bernie Sanders recently tweeted that video game workers should unionize. Riot Games is currently under investigation by state of California for significant gender discrimination violations and recently had a walk-out by employees protesting forced arbitration by the company. Video game workers are kept in a constant state of crunch where they work excessive hours and are not compensated for overtime. Video game companies are using contractors as a replacement for full time employees, so they don't have to provide benefits or fair wages to their workers.
