The Dreadfulness of Our Disease

I’d like to walk you through this weekend.

Tonight is Good Friday, the night Jesus went to cross. Christians historically marked this day with a fairly dark service - a service about sin, with confession, and some lament.

So the two messages tonight will be about the dreadfulness of our disease and the severity of the cure.

And this is your warning that tonight is dark. But we believe we need these times, times of self-reflection, times of lament, times of beginning to wrap our minds around the seriousness of our problem and how great our need is, and then to take a deep drink of what Jesus did for us on that first Good Friday.
