It is ironic to call Good Friday “good.” The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is one of the most heinous events of all time.  Why do we call it good? How ironic it is that we celebrate Jesus' birth, but revel in his death? Only in the mystery of God's holiness and from the wisdom of the Trinity can we call these events “good.”
