In respect to the Black Lives Matter movement and wanting to finish this series to give you and myself time to lean in and listen, this will be the last episode of Quarantine Talks. 

 We need To listen and give space to/for people that can help us, specifically me, understand the importance of this movement, the importance of the saying "black lives matter" and to dive deeper into learning how I can change, in my corner, in my heart and communities, the racism and injustice we see for black people and others of a different race every day. 

Arielle and I talk nothing of this in this episode because well, it was before George Floyd's murder, and frankly, I am upset with myself that I did not allow room for any type of conversation around race or the injustice in our country towards those of a different color, because Arielle herself is a beautiful woman of color. 

But we do talk about existing in the stillness, and even thought quarantine rules are slightly lifting, and places are opening back up, this is something we all still need. And I truly hope the last two and a half months have helped us see that sometimes, it's good for us to sit and be. Because then we give ourselves time to listen. And that is what myself + Good Good Talks will be doing.

We are way past two months of this season y'all, and it's hard to tell when it truly will end. But I love how Lindsey sees this time- as a forced pause. We are forced to choose to move forward, to pause and truly find who we want to be during this time.

Allie has such a unique and beautiful perspective during this season - because not only has she been home for two months during quarantine (with a little more stricter rules), but she has been home for weeks before the pandemic began because of the tornadoes that hit Nashville early March.

A unique place to be where your time with students was taken because of a natural disaster, but then not getting to say goodbye because of a world-wide pandemic, and in the middle of it all, having to be a little more cautious than others because of her health.

Yet, she is resting in grace. Gosh, so perfect and so beautiful for us to hear Allie's heart and perspective.

Anybody else so dang moody during this quarantine? 

The kind of moody where you are mad one minute, sad the next, and happy a moment later? Seems like quarantine will do that to ya.

Today I give ya a little glimpse into a day in the life of my quarantine in hopes that it can help you find some footing that maybe just maybe you haven't found yourself. 

I chat about Paul and what he did in his 2 year house arrest, and how kind of but not really but yes kind of, this stay-at-home order could be the closest we get to anything house arrest- and Paul makes me think, what am I doing while on my lockdown? 

So, let's chat, shall we? 

I will never get tired of having Kennedy and her words on this platform. 

From celebrating the small things, to lots and lots of time, and speaking truth even when you don't feel it, Kennedy brings some sweet words and some good truth to this quarantine talk. 

So-let's chat, quarantine style, eh? 

I think y'all know what I mean. That wall, that feeling, that voice. That thing that just stops us in our tracks and tells us "I'm done. I can't do this anymore."

How do we fight that? How do we keep moving when we feel that wall every Monday morning? Every afternoon? 

Hitting the wall sometimes means kicking it down and pressing forward, even if there's another wall, another disappointment, another "I can't do this" moment. Step forward. One more time.
