Bethany is a dear friend of mine that I have known since pre-school, but we have recently bonded over the last couple of years through the "magic" of adult life. (lol). Bethany is our enneagram 6, musical-loving queen and the kind of "real" that makes you want to be the truest authentic version of yourself alongside her. She is a mom of 3 adorable boys in our community just east of Nashville, and writes for her blog, Surviving till Sunday. (yes, you will 1000% want to subscribe!).

Today we chat about a lot of things, as we usually do when together, like walmart, mom bods, cicadas, instagram, and more, but when I tell you we did a deep dive into trusting/doubting God, we dove deep, yall.

Tune in to hear her miraculous story of conception, birth, overcoming sickness, depression, and literal near-death experiences that led her from questioning everything in her faith to what she describes as God being her most "treasured friendship." She can speak this because she lived this. We pray her story and authenticity with wrestling with God touches you as much as it has us.

On this week's episode we are continuing the mojo from last week, diving into the book of ROMANS for more advice that still rings true even hundreds, THOUSANDS, of years later. Again, we as a human race have always been flawed and in desperate need of God's grace and wise instruction.

Our boy, Paul, is writing again here, again, in prison, and gives the most practical advice, but also instruction on application. Knowing the truth is one thing, LIVING that truth is another. Thats when lives are changed by the gospel.

The past three weeks, we have talked all things toxicity: relationships, thoughts, culture, and even religion. As fun as it sometimes is to chat about what gets under our skin most, it does no good to do so if that talk of pointing to what is so wrong without pointing to what is true and right.

Last week, we talked religious toxicity. Good news is, that's nothing new! Even the early church and religious leaders needed advice on how to conduct themselves in faith.

Today we chat about this wise advice from just one of the many New Testament letters to one of the early churches, Ephesians!

Y'all- we could have let this episode be 3 hours long. There is SO much goodness in the letters of God's Word to His church.

We hope this episode is as much of a breath of fresh air to you as it was to us. This advice is SO needed, and amazingly rings true even thousands of years later. That is the beauty of God's Word.

ITS TELL ME BOUT IT TUESDAY, fam! And today, we are continuing with our mini-series: truth>toxicity! We are READY to have a real talk with you all about toxicity in religion, and even the Church.

First, for disclaimers:

OKAY, now that those very important truths have been addressed, lets hop in to some very real questions that address where we as humans have slipped up with delivering the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus:

Join us today and we have a real-talk type of chat about this very real questions and point to the ultimate truth that we cannot misplace the promises of God for the people of God.

It is so important that we fix our gaze on things ABOVE us and not AROUND us. Jesus is our ONE perfect example for us, and because of Him, we can be made complete in our weaknesses and (praise, God) be seen as righteous in His eyes. Its ONLY because of Him! PRAISE!
