Good marriages reduce mortality
Transcript:
Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. A 2016 study explored whether marital status and family structure in childhood are linked with different rates of mortality across the life-span, and whether the benefits of marriage are modified by family structure in childhood. The results show that adults who lived with both biological parents in childhood had a lower risk of death than children who did not, and that married individuals had significantly lower levels of mortality than widowed individuals. Good marriages, in other words, build longer and happier lives. I’ve made a modest contribution to strengthening marriages through my Boy To Man Book. It’s for fathers to read with their 12-year-old sons, and has chapters on dating, how to find a wife, and how to build a strong family life. Order your copy today at afastore.net.
