Nothing is truly given to us. We are surrounded by opportunities but we can sometimes get distracted by the chaos. Blinding us from what's really in front of us. In this episode I brought on my friend Brett who helped produce this episode and I tell him about the moments that made me. 

Don't be distracted by what the circumstances. Yea, I know it can be an inconvenience sometimes but you have to look at the dream. The goal. 

Nothing in like is exactly what we expect it to be. Sometimes we set our expectations too high and we have to become sensitive to adapting. Nothing in life is 100%. In this episode I talk about working at as a waiter while also shooting in a big film; "Pitch Perfect".

In this episode I talked a little bit about how I got started in the film industry. Sometimes you have to purposefully put yourself in a place whenever you see an opportunity. Encourage yourself to have the courage to push past fear and know that it's normal and OK to be comfortable. 

Growing up with a police officer, I got a chance to do a lot of things and including the downside of a black women on a police force. My mom. One summer the SPD (Shreveport Police Department) decided to start a camping trip for kids in the summer. But it was far from luxurious! It's a camp that eventually changed my life. This episode is all about the test in life and growing wisdom through fear.

Back in the day I used to mimic radio DJ's, ring announcers, and movie trailer voices. I was so obsessed with it, I was always practicing as early as 5th grade! I remember going to the radio station to watch the DJ's live and I would always mimic them everywhere I go. In this episode I talk about look out for things that you mimic. You are what you feed yourself. This kind of commitment can carry your career. 

In this episode I bring on producer Brett who comes up with a game in which we ask Valintine Day Trivia questions. Come and have some fun but also stick around for the important love take away.

In this episode I talk about not getting stuck and trapped in your comfortable state. It's so easy for us to get stuck comfortable, and that's a dangerous thing if you want to be successful. With a world that's constantly changing around us, it's important that we learn to adapt to our surrounding. That requires getting out of your comfort zone sometimes.

For Black History Month, I wanted to have a little fun in this episode. Though some of these may sound silly, but I assure you if not all, most people have experience microaggression; yes, that's what these phrases are representing. I know I've experienced just about all of these. But I hopefully won't just leave you with a laugh, but also educate people on how to do better, and why some of the ignorant stuff said should leaving you thinking, "Hmmmm, maybe I should shut the f*** up about this before I hurt someone."

We are living in a time where black people are fighting for justice. Over the years I've learned a lot. How to respond and how to make adifference is a question a lot of people have. We can not give up on the Dream Dr. Martin Luther King once spoke about. We have to remain steady and consistent to see a change. Sometimes that may call for some sacrifice on our part.
