Good Morning BHA

Richard Reeve flying solo for a one on one with International Champion Chorus Director, BHS Singing Judge and incredibly nice guy, Jordan Travis from Toronno!

We go through the results from Sweet Adelines Region 34 contest, touch on the Barbershop Harmony Society's latest Everyone In Harmony announcement and preview the BHS International Contest minutes before it starts! (It's well and truly over now of course, because I'm slow at uploading our recordings...)

Episode 16 - Tasmanian Regional

Ash is on his own for this one... is that "woohoo" I hear you say? C'mon now, Reeve isn't all that bad...

We have chats with our judges, Alex Morris and Sarah Bradley, BHA VP Membership Paul Adams, and the Forefathers quartet!

Episode 15

We happened to be at the same BHA Regional (Ash judging, Richard competing and mastering ceremonies) so why not get the recorder out and chat to some fine folk! We chat to BHA Education Faculty members Jen Howson and Rob Sequeira about nothing close to education, Upgrade's new baritone Alex Jaime about being Upgrade's new baritone, incredibly keen barbershopper Damian Jones about being an incredibly keen barbershopper and you get an insight into what it's like being in a giant Richard Reeve selfie.

We talk musical theatre and the benefits it can have on your barbershop performance and vice versa, we also discuss some recent happenings around a chorus that was awarded a zero in contest and we round out with some local quartet updates.

We chat to David Reid from Sound Connection about what they might be up to this year and beyond.

Part 4, and the final part, of our Harbour Harmony College Series!

We've got the legendary Jim Henry, HC Dean and Assistant Dean Andrew Howson and Dan Beckitt, BHA President Ian Mulholland and we round it all out with some very wise words from MUS judge and big time arranger Kevin Keller.

Episode 11 - The Guyton Files

2 Time BHS International Quartet Gold Medalist, Brandon Guyton, gives us all the stories!

We continue our Harmony College Interviews starting with a civilian (non barbershopper) Amanda who came to HC to learn! We also chat to 2 time Internationial Quartet Champ, Fred Farrell before getting in depth with 2013 BHA Quartet 3rd Place Bronze Medalist, Matthew Lykos.

The first installment of our Harmony College Interview Series.

This episode we talk to 7 time SAI Region 34 Quartet Champ Bec Hewitt, 2 time BHS International Quartet Champ Mike Slamka, 2017 BHA Quartet 4th Place Bronze Medalist Michael Hicks and 2013 BHA Quartet 3rd Place Bronze Medalist and 2017 BHA Silver Medal Chorus Director Kieran O'Dea.
