2. What may be holding you back from coming to Jesus and being used by him to be a blessing to your circle of influence?

1. What is God showing you about his character lately? How is this shaping your life?

2. When was the last time you went away with Jesus to a quiet place to rest?

3. What is the bread and the fish that you can bring to Jesus for him to use?

1. Have you become too familiar and comfortable with God that you miss out on the awe and wonder of what he could do in your life?

2. From John the baptists story, we can learn that the call to discipleship is not an easy one. How often do you consider the implications of what it means to follow Jesus in your own life?

"Good Morning Eden" is a new podcast from two young pastors from Sydney, Australia; Josh Stothers and Josh Carnie. Their aim is to improve our understanding of the Bible and to help you follow God in your own journey. It's a podcast about seeing things the way God saw them in the original Garden of Eden - the first series will be an exploration of the gospel of Mark.

1. Have you ever felt like Jesus was sleeping in the midst of your chaos?

2. Jesus wants to enter into the messy parts of your life. Where do you need to invite him in today?

3. The Woman with blood took a risk in touching Jesus in the midst of that crowd. When is the last risk you took in your faith?

• Like the parable of the seeds, so much of receiving the kingdom of heaven is about if your ears / hearts / minds are open to receive it. Are they open today?

• Are there people non your life you need to share with? Invite into?

Reflection:

• How often you slip into the tendency of following Jesus for what he can do for you instead of following him for who He is?

• How does it make you feel to know that through Jesus you have been adopted into God's royal family?

• What does it look like for you to do God's will in your life today?
