Good Morning, Podcasters!

In this episode we're going to talk about Descript and how using it if you don't know what you're doing is going to create results as shitty as using a DAW when you don't know what you're doing but it's going to make doing that easier so... you may as well try it if you don't want to learn.

On August 13th, podcast talking head, and podcasting's original contrarian, Evo Terra (host of the Podcast Pontifications podcast) called my bluff - that's what he calls it anyway - and bet I couldn't help grow his audience to 10,000 within a year's time using my $5/day Facebook Ad's strategy. Well, he was right, because he's not a paying client 🤣, but we decided to give my strategies a go for 90-days and see where it got him. That's the experiment we're currently involved in and I talk more about it in this episode.

In this episode we're going to talk about Gen-Z's preference for podcasting listening platforms and how it's (unsurprisingly) Spotify. Episode inspired by Sadie Jackson and her study linked below.

Let's look at the Rode's new PSA1+ mic boom and talk about why you should have a mic boom, and how pop-filters are pretty much useless if you practice good mic technique.

What do you need to start a podcast? In my first public episode, I'll share the basic moving parts of a podcast. Your microphone, your editing software, and all the rest of it. It's easier than you think.
