• ⚠️ Crescent Bar Water Warning: Grant County Health District is advising people and pets to avoid shoreline water from Trinidad Beach to Chinook Park and Crescent Bar following a potential toxic algae exposure connected to the death of a dog.
• 🍎 Quincy Community Food Bank: Open today from 9:30 AM–noon at 210 First Avenue SE.
• ⛳ Sanchez Open: The first annual golf tournament takes place today at Colockum Ridge Golf Course, raising scholarship funds for Quincy High School students pursuing technical education and skilled trades.
• 🍦 FCA Kickoff: Quincy middle and high school students are invited to an ice cream social tonight at 5:30 PM in the QHS Commons.

• 🎸 Crescent Bar: Whiskey Trail performs Saturday night at Tower Pizza for its final live music event of summer 2026.
• 💃 Royalty Dance Studio: Saturday’s open house runs from 10 AM–4 PM with free trial classes, registration, dancewear and permanent jewelry.
• 🏡 Quincy Lifestyle & Living Tour: Windermere Real Estate/Central Basin showcases The Village at Colockum, Summerfield and Willow Springs Sunday from 3:30–6 PM with home tours, food, prizes and live music.
• 🎭 QHS Theatre: Audition and tech packets are available for the fall production of Sleepy Hollow. Auditions are Tuesday, Sept. 1, with tech packets due Wednesday, Sept. 2.
• 🚧 School Traffic: Construction continues around Jackrabbit Way, First Avenue and Sixth Avenue near Quincy High School. Drivers should expect increased traffic on alternate routes during school arrival and dismissal.
• 🎸 Labor Day Weekend: Dave Matthews Band returns to the Gorge Amphitheatre Sept. 4–6, while Heart by Heart and Spike and the Impalers perform at Crescent Bar Sept. 6.
• 🇺🇸 Coming in September: Quincy Valley Historical Society hosts its Sept. 11 remembrance presentation, followed by the B Street Block Party, FCAD on Sept. 12 and Church in the Park on Sept. 13.
