Good morning, everyone.
Let’s just be here together, blown wide open.
Simply knowing, simply being, no thing, nothing in particular.
What is liberation, freedom, enlightenment, awakening?
Is it dry? Does it mean I am nothing only?
Does it mean I’ve transcended form, the body, the world, and none of that has any importance or value.
The recognition of our timeless essential being is very profound. While it’s true for everyone, it is mostly unnoticed, but by very few. No fault. It’s simply not how we’ve been shown.
And while this recognition is in its way final, because once known, it’s known, it’s never ending in its unfolding of revealing beauty, implications, etc.
The more I’ve lived this, 20 years now or so, the more I realize, in truth, it’s about love. And it’s about bhakti or reverence. for truth and love.
The great sages like Ramana Maharshi, who are considered jnanis, which means self-realization, are sometimes seen by people as somehow detached or unattached or in some way opposed to form or appearance.
But someone like Ramana Maharshi is far from dry. Ramana Maharshi, at his very core, is a bhakta, devoted, in reverence to, in love with, source truth.
And source and truth are not opposite of form. Form is source and truth.
What does non-duality mean if not?
Not to meaning not transcendent and form as two.
It means, all is the self or God or the divine or truth. All.
And in fact, there is only that and nothing other.
So this recognition, this coming home, this timeless knowing being is devoid of separation and division. And that is the very essence of love.
Without bhakti, without reverence, without love, what is liberation anyway?
It’s nice to be with you all.
I’ll be back again tomorrow.
Peace.
