Join April and Danielle as they engage in conversation with NYU sophomore Aarna Dixit about Good Sex. Aarna is an activist, writer, speaker and podcast co-host of Dirty Talk. She is currently a double major in Global Liberal Studies and Social and Cultural Analysis. She writes for the Washington Square News and is part of the NYU Student Government Assembly. She gave a TedX Youth Talk on the importance of sexual violence allyships, was a 2020 HERLead Fellow and was featured in Teen Vogue 21 Under 21 List. For more information check out Aarna's website.
In this interview, we discuss the lack of pleasure in current sex ed curriculums, what sexual empowerment is, and several ways that power, priviledge, and oppression impact the ways womxn often engage in sex and relationships. The conversation might make you laugh, might make you feel less alone, and will hopefully make you think about how your own journey influences you today.
