The Nicene Creed is careful to present God as one who is not only almighty, but who is also Father to his people. This sermon focuses on the first major phrase in the Nicene Creed which describes God- --We believe in one God, the Father.- This statement is based on the Biblical revelation of a key aspect of God's being- he is heavenly Father to his people. It was, in fact, Jesus Christ who clearly and frequently revealed that God is his heavenly Father and the Father of all who believe in him. It is through Christ that we can come to know God as Father as we also accept and believe in his Son Jesus Christ.

The incarnation Jesus Christ, in his full humanity, ascended to the right hand of God and there he continues to minister the blessings of salvation for us, his people. -He is reigning over all things, sustaining his people, and preparing a home for his beloved ones. -The ministry of the Ascended Man to his people is our assurance that in our flesh also, we shall see the Lord Jesus our Savior with our own eyes, and bow down in worship before him.

Palm-Passion Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. Jesus began his final march to the cross, his destiny from before the foundation of the world. The sermon from John 12 by brother Wayne Conrad explores the meaning and fulfillment of Jesus' words, -My hour has come.- This was the hour of his death for the sins of his people.

This sermon focuses on the statement of Jesus that he -must go to Jerusalem- where he would be persecuted, die, and rise. There are reasons in the OT for the necessity of Jesus dying in Jerusalem. One of the most significant is that the Temple was in Jerusalem, where the multitude of animal sacrifices were offered for the sins of the people and their leaders. But Jesus' death in Jerusalem, as the true Lamb of God, was the only death that truly and completely removed sins.
