Good Take, Bad Take

Our friend Drew Taylor ranks every Batman movie. We had some issues with this one, some of which came down to the methodology, or lack thereof, that was used for ranking.

Our friend Rory Mellon undertakes the task of ranking the 10 greatest movies of the past decade (2015-2025). He said it was the longest he's every deliberated over each movie's placement. There were some we would have liked to see but we also based our opinion of his opinion on the methodology presented.

Overall, was Rory's list a good take or bad take?

Chappy brings in newcomer Isaac Donovan to break down a list of Cheetos flavors. In a first of its kind, the tandem eats the snacks while they're talking about it. Rather than have it gross you out, we'll just call it ASMR :).

Chappy, Johnny Lupinacci, and Thomas Arend talk about sports drinks with the caveat that the list is broken down by health benefits not necessarily based on tastes. But they do all mention their personal favorites.

Chappy's 17-year-old son Hyrum is a Radiohead superfan so it only made sense to have him join an episode of Good Take, Bad Take, in this case, a ranking of Radiohead albums.

Chappy and Thomas talk about a list made by Bat Digest of Chinook Seeds. Yes, they mention which is their favorite, and potentially second favorite, but it's a pretty soft list. There are a few flavors they don't even mention.

It was the right chat to have at the right time since: a) it's baseball season now, and; b) we love seeds!

A special opportunity for Chappy to join his niece Kenna, who has listened to every episode of Good Take Bad Take since its inception. Kenna likes Taylor Swift so the uncle-niece combo break down the top 10 Taylor Swift songs, most of which Kenna doesn't actually know.

NOTE: Chappy's was on a weird back-up mic and his audio wasn't great. But it was a short episode and by the time you throw your hands up and proclaim that you "just can't take it anymore" the episode will be over.

Chappy and special guest Lori Maricle, whom he introduced to the TV show The West Wing, break down a list about the likeability of the show's main characters.

It's a good discussion. In the end, both felt like there's so much subjectivity to liking characters. The biggest issue was based in definitions and lack of clarity on the order presented.
