Goodness

Listen Later

Bags of Goodness, Loads of Goodness

Why put needless limits on it,

Goodness is never meant to be weighed

And, the paths to it are all well lit.

Away from it are Danger Zones

Crevices, Cliffs and pot-holes,

Suffer you will in ample measure

If, walk you do on burning coals.

Don’t try walk the Oceans ever

Unless you’re a Messiah,

Prophets are messengers of the Lord

The rest of us, Pariah.

Goodness lies there in everyone

Sometimes dormant, needing a rap

For, often does it need a Conscience

That also, sometimes, take a nap.

Let the Goodness within flow freely

As does the river over cracks and crags,

 It’s inherent in

us, we’re meant to be

 Beware of the one

who of Goodness, brags.

Do good, be good, that’s all it is

No two ways of looking at it,

Simple in its interpretation

Slip it on, it’s always a nice fit.
