The constant competition for power and control is exhausting and has led to much destruction and pain. But when God first created, he called it good, he called us very good, and he created us in his image to create, but to create with love and for love. Our schemes will keep us from God's purpose.

Being present to the things that are in front of us is a constant struggle. The messages of scarcity, and that it's never enough are pervasive. But what would life look like if we were more present to the things in front of us already, rather than constantly wondering what's missing?

Difficult and unexpected things are a part of life, we can’t control every outcome. We can live our lives attempting to avoid all difficulties, or we can find joy in the very gift of life, and trust the giver of life in all of its intricacies.
