Daniel served as an interpreter to a King that had his priorities mixed up. It is so easy to go through life giving energy to things that are not the most important even though they feel urgent. We all need someone in our life like Daniel who is willing to tell us the truth! It's never too early to see the writing on the wall.

One certainty amidst all our questions surrounding pain and suffering is that God joins us in our suffering. What does it say about the character of God that even Jesus suffered? Does our suffering have any higher purpose?

We may have heard or said things like "God has a plan" or "everything happens for a reason." What does that really mean? How do we know what is God’s design and what just happens? We will explore how God interacts in the world and what that means for our lives.

Why would God create a world where such terrible things can happen? It could be that by giving us free will God allows the possibility of evil without willing evil itself. How much of the suffering we experience is caused by people’s poor decisions?

Suffering can often lead to doubting God’s existence. How can all three things be true at the same time: 1. God is all powerful, 2. God is all good. 3. Evil exists. Any of the two make sense, but how do we reconcile all three?

With life going at light speed we need to put down our phone and be present with our kids! While it is tempting to always be looking forward to whatever is next in our children’s development, we should cherish wherever they are...every day.

Even if we never had kids or our kids are grown, we all have a responsibility to children. There is no greater honor than passing on the faith to the next generation.

In Paul's closing remarks to Titus, he encourages Titus to do good. On the island of Crete, it would have been difficult to maintain focus, and continue to expand the kingdom of God. Why does it seem like sometimes doing good can be so hard, but other times doing good seems easy?

Our actions show what we value. When we say one thing and do another, what we say doesn’t really matter. This would be considered false teaching if what we teach doesn’t match our actions.
