Melissa Armo previews Alphabet (GOOGL) earnings, which release after the bell Wednesday. She thinks market participants need to be cautious overall based on the last few trading days. She thinks GOOGL could gap up after earnings and then sell off in Thursday’s session: “even if it looks fabulous tonight, it may tank tomorrow.” She notes its significant run up and says worries about the broad market overshadow a potential long play right now. Melissa also shorted Walt Disney (DIS) this week and likes Walmart (WMT).
