Google Her, She's A Boss

Gary "Devon" Dotson lives, breathes, and sleeps music. The Chicago native started out playing drums at age 3 at his grandfather's church.

Devon challenged himself to be the best in every aspect of his music, and through practice and preforming with church, school, and even playing with the Sacramento Symphony he formed his own musical identity. Drawing inspiration from a long list of songwriters and musicians to include Sting, George Clinton, Quincy Jones, Prince, and of course Michael Jackson.

Devon's talent stood out and he was selected to tour and play for music greats like Latin percussionist Pete Escovedo and his daughter, Sheila E, percussionist for Prince. Jazz Saxophonist Najee & late great NBA player and Bass player, Wayman Tisdale, Gospel artist Kirk Franklin, Daryl Coley just to name a few.

Devon has been well known in the Sacramento area and has shared the stage for a number of major recording artists including Tony, Toni, Tone' , The Roots, Super producer Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Ginuwine, the late great Aliyah,  and many others.

In addition to being a talented drummer, Devon plays violin, upright and electric bass, congas and other percussion, piano, organ and keyboards and also DJs.

The latest of Devon's talents requires a merge of all his musical skills as a Music Producer and Songwriter for his Record Label Nite Vision Entertainment

(NVE Records)

With his edgy sound and out the box musical thinking he embeds his sound in the minds and hearts of music lovers, comparing  his music to Quincy Jones production for Michael Jackson or Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

Devon's musical chemistry with artist Vernac compels  crowds and caused quite a stir with A&R's from Def Jam, Universal, Warner Bros. Interscope and more at Los Angeles A&R Showcases.

Cindy Smith-Jordan is a widower and a Mother to three beautiful daughters.  She is originally from Brooklyn, NY but currently resides in Long Island, NY.  She has a formal education, which certified her in becoming a Certified Dental Assistant.

Later on in her life, Cindy decided to become her own boss by relinquishing her 9 to 5 cap and trading it in for her entrepreneurial hat.  Successfully she has managed her own business portfolio and has helped many of the less fortunate in the process.

Her business savvy has afforded her the opportunity to participate as chair in various business events, and those business efforts would be rewarded by many in her community.

Seeking creative outlet, Cindy was asked to participate in a web series “Wicked Tales” during the second season she immensely enjoyed it and has been acting since.  She will also be appearing in an upcoming soap opera “Deception” and a fantasy miniseries “Secret Shadows”.

On a further quest to embrace her creative side, Cindy would learn that she had a knack for writing poetry. In 2009 she was introduced to a poetry group called “Poetic Energy” facilitated by Author Michelle E. Alford it was there she would discover her natural ability to write poetry.  Her talents for writing became very apparent when she won a certificate and an autographed book from the author writing a poem on “homelessness”.  Since winning this contest, Cindy, has taken her talent to the airwaves on the Poetic Energy Radio show.

As a regular participant on the Poetic Energy Radio show, Cindy, lacked a pen name like many of the other artist, therefore, the co-host of the show suggested, Strong Island, the name seemed to fit and she has been known as that since.  She is still emerging as an artist and plans to publish all her erotic and inspirational poetry in the near future.
