Canada's Psychiatry doctors are calling on the federal government to delay the expansion of assisted dying to people with mental illness.  While the changes may offer some relief to those who are suffering and seeking an end to their pain, the changes are not without controversy. Dr. Ferrukh Faruqui, an Ottawa family physician, joins Gormley to discuss MAID and the call to delay the expansion.

A few weeks ago a group from Saskatchewan is pledging to put their $500 affordability cheques from the Moe government into pockets of local charities. The 500 Club is a pledge campaign that encourages able Saskatchewan residents to donate their $500 cheques to charity to reach their goal is $1 million.
