Berkeley, California is aiming to ban junk food and unhealthy items at grocery store checkout lines, where many shoppers impulsively purchase unhealthy snack foods like candy or chocolate. Under the new rules, grocery stores larger than 2,500 square feet will not be able to sell chips, candy bars, soda and sweetened beverages, allowing only food items with less than 5g of added sugar or 250mg of sodium per serving. While Saskatchewan has been able to avoid the massive surges in COVID-19 cases we've seen in other parts of the country and world, Quebec continues to struggle as the hotspot for the virus in Canada. Of the nation's 162,000 cases, more than 76,000 have been in Quebec and the province had days with more than 1,000 new cases last week. The new edition features brand-new illustrations, updated language, and shorter chapters for easier reading. Bishop joins Gormley to tell us more about one of the classics of Saskatchewan fiction.
