The CFL made some big announcements Wednesday, moving Regina's Grey Cup from 2020 to 2022 and admitting they still don't know what the 2020 season will look like, if it's played at all. Rob Vanstone, Riders columnist for the Regina Leader-Post, joins Gormley to discuss the decisions by commissioner Randy Ambrosie and what he thinks fans should expect to see.

With most students not resuming classes until September at the earliest, what kind of position will students - and teachers - be in when classes eventually resume? Michael Zwaagstra, a teacher and author of several books on educational theory, says there will certainly be some loss of learning but the important thing is to hit the ground running in the fall if at all possible. Zwaagstra says education is much less effective with an online-only model or if schools require draconian social distancing measures, but it's important to keep students and teachers safe at the same time.

Should Trudeau do more to stand up against China? Columnist and author Jonathan Manthorpe says Trudeau is tiptoeing around China and doesn't want to offend the Asian superpower because of the Canadians held hostage there and due to pressure from business groups. Manthorpe says Trudeau's approach won't improve our relationship with China, because it's entirely tied to the eventual fate of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou who is awaiting extradition in Vancouver. What Canada should be doing, Manthorpe says, is having an important conversation about Canada's strategic economic interests and reducing our reliance on China.

Twelve community hospitals in Saskatchewan are temporarily suspending acute-care admissions and emergency services to ensure there is enough capacity if Saskatchewan sees a surge of COVID-19 cases. The move will affect services in Arcola, Broadview, Preeceville, Lanigan, Radville, Herbert, and Kerrobert, Wolseley, Davidson, Biggar, Leader, and Oxbow, and community leaders have already expressed their concern.
