It's official - school in Saskatchewan will not resume again until September at the earliest. According to the Ministry of Education, Saskatchewan's 180,000 students are still being encouraged to take part in distance learning programs offered by their teachers, which will continue until the end of the school year. The Government's Education Response Planning Team is currently working out what in-class learning will look like in the fall, but timelines have not yet been set. The federal government is keeping departmental research into the cost of the carbon tax secret, and not sharing them with the Canadian farmers who will end up paying the tax. According to industry experts, the sweeping firearms bans issued Friday in Canada were too wide, and may have made 10- and 12-gauge shotguns, along with older large-bore hunting rifles, into prohibited weapons due to the size of their barrels exceeding the 20mm maximum. Public Safety Minister Bill Blair says shotguns are not included in the new prohibition, but Lawyer and firearms expert Edward Burlew says that's not in line with his analysis of the new law, which was performed for the Canadian Shooting Sports Association.
