According to Insightrix Research, Saskatchewan residents are largely divided in how they would rate their mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. The firm's most recent survey found 19% were very stressed due to the pandemic, 58% were somewhat stressed, 20% were not that stressed, and 4% were not stressed at all. A discovery made at the Canadian Light Source in Saskatoon shows that men and women develop heart disease differently. A team of scientists from McGill used the CLS in a study that found different minerals block heart valves in men and women, a discovery that could change how the disease is diagnosed and treated for the different sexes. Heart disease is the number one cause of death worldwide, and lead researcher Dr. Marta Cerruti joins Gormley to tell him more.

According to the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, only 29% of small businesses will be able to avoid further layoffs or re-hire staff through the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy program. While the CFIB welcomed the federal government's decision to increase the subsidy to 75%, they say there are some simple changes that could make the program much more helpful.
