Saskatchewan wraps up the 2022-23 budget with a massive surplus for the province. Instead of a $463 million deficit, the province achieved a $1.58 billion surplus. Donna Harpauer is the Minister of Finance and joins Gormley to discuss what this means for the province for the 2023-24 fiscal year.

The College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan is taking steps to help train more physicians to stay in the province. The school is increasing the number of seats in the program as part of Saskatchewan's Health Human Resources (HHR) Action Plan. Dean of the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Dr. Preston Smith, joins Gormley to explain the move to increase the seats in the program starting in the fall of 2023.
