The Nest organization helps sponsor and settle refugees in Saskatoon and has been doing it since 1997. The organization learned about Afghan journalist Maryam Rajaee looking to leave Kabul with her spouse and two small daughters after it fell to the Taliban in 2021 from a report by Lyse Doucet. We have Maryam Rajaee now works at Saskatoon Open Door Society and joins Gormley to share her story on getting to Saskatchewan and living here with her family.
