Fusion Youth Service - 18.02.2024

This week we continued to explore the Gospel in the Old Testament, discussing the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22. We ask why God would command Abraham to do something that He claims to hate - child sacrifice.

We look at the faith that Abraham had in God, that enabled Him to obey. And we discover the real reason why God sent Abraham and Isaac up that mountain - to act out a prophecy. On that very same mountain, 2000 years later, another Father would sacrifice His son. Another Son would offer up His life, willingly, to redeem for Himself a bride.

Abraham and Isaac were acting out an incredible and intense prophecy. They were acting out the Gospel.
