Fusion Youth Service - 17.11.2024 - This week we finished Matthew 2, and Luke's record of Jesus' youngest years. We explore a bit of the history involved in these verses - about Herod's death, and the sons who replaced him. We also investigate another of Matthew's interesting prophetic claims. According to Matthew, the Old Testament prophesied that Jesus would be called a Nazarene. But the town of Nazareth does not exist in the Old Testament. So what is he talking about?

We also finished a bit early this week, which meant there was time for some questions!

1. How can Old Testament people access heaven if the Law is impossible to keep?

2. If God can do anything, does that mean He can sin if He wants to?

3. If Jesus looked like a regular Jew, how was He recognised as the Messiah, even as a child?
