In this intro episode Breanna and Gabriella introduce themselves and share the testimonies of how they came to saving faith in Christ. They begin by kicking off this episode introducing the podcast, stating the purpose, and explaining the discipleship framework of the podcast.
Introduction:
Purpose of this Podcast:
Glorify God
Spread the gospel
Encourage women to grow in their faith
Discipleship model: Found in Titus chapter 2 verses 1-6
Unreferenced scripture:
Ephesians 4:1-3 (not Colossians) : “Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called”
John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
Gospel (in short): God the Father sent His perfect Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross. There He took the penalty of our sins in exchange for His righteousness. He rose from the dead, defeating death, and provides eternal life for all those who repent and place their faith in Him as Lord and Savior.

Scripture references:
Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:5-6 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Clarifications:
We both mentioned a moment of regeneration in our testimonies. Titus 3:4-7 speaks on regeneration of the Holy Spirit.
We believe this is the moment in time when we were born again. Jesus says, “You must be born again”...“born of the Spirit” (John 3:7-8).
This is a work of God by the Spirit of God, when a person in a state of spiritual death enters into a state of spiritual life, eternal life.
In John 17:3 Jesus says, “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
More to say on this topic, but we hope that gets you digging through the scriptures for more understanding. (Read the gospel of John in its entirety for more about becoming a true follower of Christ).
We also reference being a “babe in Christ” or “a freshie” to discuss how a believer grows in maturity.
See 1 Peter 2:2 “Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation”
1 Corinthians 3:2 “I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it.”
And Hebrews 5:12-14 to see the importance of teaching the truths of God, growing in maturity in Christ, and finding discernment to distinguish good from evil.
The Holy Spirit
He is offered as a gift to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38)
He is referred to as the Helper whom the Father sends us, to teach us all things (John 14:26)
1 Corinthians 6:19 tells us that “your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you… You are not your own.”
The Holy Spirit doesn’t “mature in us”. God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)
But we grow in our sanctification and conform to the likeness of Christ, the more we are in His Word, plugged into a local church, discipled by older christians, and obedient to the Word of God.
