We reflect how these are the same words the priest says at Mass when the bread and wine have become the body and blood of Jesus. Truly, this is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. What a beautiful thing to reflect on while at Mass!

Gospel Bites is a Catholic podcast for young children to hear the Gospel from Sundays and Holy Days and receive a reflection and application in their daily lives. In today’s reading, Matthew 3:13-17, The Baptism of Our Lord, we describe what’s happening in this Scripture and also how sometimes God asks us to do big things even when we don’t understand them. Our kids Jack and Blaise are with us in this recording and Jack gives some good insight!

Matthew 2:13-15, 19-23 - The Flight to Egypt - we talk about how Saint Joseph is such a great Father, because he knows God the Father so intimately well! (we don't go into detail about Herod's plot against Jesus)

Merry Christmas!! We use the readings from Mass During the Night and talk about the shepherds' reaction to the angel in the field. What a joyous event that the angels get to share with the shepherds! We also try to receive this good news like the shepherds do and rejoice together!

GOSPEL BITES: Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Advent - The Canticle of Zechariah - Daniel and I speak particularly how Zechariah describes the Messiah as "the light to those who sit in darkness" and the Lord's "tender mercy." Really beautiful stuff. And we celebrate the last day of Advent!

Birth of Jesus told to Joseph in a dream - We talk about how the name Jesus means “to rescue, to deliver” and what that means in regard to sin. We give a basic understanding of what sin is and how Jesus has rescued us and brought us back into relationship with the Father.
