In our fourth Sunday in this series we complete our study of Genesis 1:26-28. "...male and female He created them."

This gets a bit academic and stuff...but sometimes it's where we need to go.

The third message in our series on biblical human identity looks again at Genesis 1:26-28. We are created FROM community FOR community. This has implications for how we function as family, and as a church.

This second message in our series on biblical human identity returns to Genesis 1:26-28 and 2:15. God's initial purpose for humanity, our core created vocation, is to hold dominion over creation and subdue it as royal rulers, while at the same time guarding it and keeping it as serving priests.

At the start of each quarter in 2024, we are going to read through a letter of Paul.

These letters were written to be read out loud to the first audience, and so we want to encounter Scripture "in context." 

On this first Sunday of Advent, we hear a lament. Strange way to kick-off the "holiday season"...

But Advent is about more than a baby in a manger, it's is about the long wait of God's people for Him to make all things new. It is the cry of those who know that the world and their lives are not right. It is the longing for God to forgiver, restore, renew.

But God's timing and ways are not ours, and we voice our complaint, our lament, that life is not going well, and that we are not well. When will God act!?
