Luke 8:26-39

In Luke 8:22-25 Jesus is tired from his day to day ministry and falls asleep on a boat in the middle of a storm. His disciples wake him afraid for their lives and he commands the spleen to cease.

Despite what we’re going through today, there are four places you and I can look other than ourselves that will help us to move forward and honor God.

Jesus teaches his disciples to be the light for all to see.

In Luke 8:1-5 Jesus is teaching a crowd about the four different types of soils that the seed (the Word of God) can fall on.

Luke 7:36-50 | Jesus is at the house of a religious leader and a sinful woman comes to wash and anoint his feet as an act of passionate worship.

In Luke 7:18-35 Jesus is approached by disciples of John who ask him an honest question. Jesus invites them to examine what they are seeing and rebukes those listening who have already rejected Him.

Jesus is passing through the town of Nain and has compassion on a widow who has lost her only son.

In Luke 7:1-10 Jesus praises the humility and faith of a Roman Centurion who understands that true worthiness is not found in what we do but in what Jesus has done for us.
