This week
Jesus noticed hurting people and stopped to care for them.
Scripture: Matthew 9:36
Our scripture reading today comes from Matthew 9:36:
"And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd."
Memory verse
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted…" (Ephesians 4:32)
Say together
Leader: "Christian family, what do we believe?"
All: "We believe in God the Father, Maker of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who gives us life and makes us one."
Prayer
Let's take a moment to pray together.
Jesus, we thank you that you are compassionate and kind. You gave us life and you are the good shepherd who leads us gently in the paths of righteousness. Change our hearts to be more like you, daily. Help us to love those that you've placed around us, stranger or friend. In your name we pray, amen.
A blessing
Go as a family in the peace of your Savior and closest friend, Jesus Christ.
See you next week!
