GLORIOUS TRUTH #2: I AM IN CHRIST
To be “In Christ” means that we can now find our identity in someone other than ourselves. If we’re left to ourselves, our identity is defined by sin. It’s who we are. However, “In Christ”, Jesus becomes our representative, we’re invited into a relationship with Him, and we can look forward to an eternity where we get to enjoy Him forever! All of this comes to us because of Jesus, through Jesus, and in Jesus for the believer.

We are creatures created by God who need God, are dependent on Him for everything, therefore without Him we have no hope in life, no ability to thrive and will be left void of any real meaning and purpose.

The Bible is the most trustworthy book in history. It has been preserved by God for you to have knowledge, insight, and understanding of who God is, what He has done, and who you get to be because of it.

Looking for hope horizontally will leave you empty, unsatisfied and afraid. But looking for hope vertically will fill you and satisfy you because it brings with it inexpressible joy now and forevermore.

The devastation of our sin goes beyond what we are experiencing in this fallen and broken world. God is not OK with our sin and we shouldn’t be either. What we do with our sin has implications for all things in our life. We can keep it, carry it or we can cast it upon Jesus.
