    It seems like sometimes God asks a lot of us. We could say to ourselves sometimes "don't push it too far God." 

    Statements from Jesus like, "let the dead bury their dead", "take up your cross", "hate your father and mother", and others seem to be quite a lot to swallow. 

    But what is the point? Of course Jesus is not asking us to have angry hatred towards people, but God is supposed to number one in our lives. He is supposed to rank above everything. When we choose to follow Jesus that means we choose to forsake things and we also choose to put things under Him. 

    Our love for Christ should outweigh everything else we love in life.

    His love for you is so great, so unending, and so incomprehensible! He created this earth, plants, animals, the seas, and much more for your enjoyment. Why? Because He loves you.

    This is just one way we get a glimpse into the love God has for us.
