TEXT: Luke 2:22-32
Third, Simeon prayed in a spirit of praise. When Simeon took up the Baby Jesus in His arms at the temple, we are told that he blessed God. He praised God for the joy of seeing the salvation that God had wrought for both His people Israel and for the Gentiles. His peace in God was so complete that He was ready to die. Once Simeon saw the Christ-child, he knew that there was nothing better He could see. When you pray this Christmas, praise God like Simeon. Praise Him for the salvation that is a glory to the Jews and a light to us Gentiles. Praise God this Christmas for the salvation provided through Christ.
