Those who have been saved out of the world are warned to not be partakers with the world and thus be “sons of disobedience.”

Citizenship in heaven is ultimately meaningful only for those who believe the promises of God. We need to be kind, thankful, motivated by faith in God and never vulgar like the pagan society we live in.

God is the only valid object of faith, we are to never place our trust in riches. Our trust must always be placed in God and His promises for our future reward.

God is eternal is this manner, He is necessary for the existence of all other things. Because of God’s aseity, we can trust Him to sustain the universe, and we can trust Him for our own everlasting life that we will enjoy in our future resurrected bodies.

We are to become imitators of God. This means that we change and grow in God’s grace. This must encompass the lives of all Christians whatever their background.

We must remember what God did for us and trust His promises. That way we will sweep away sin and not be swept away in the coming judgment.
