A verse-by-verse study of the letter to the Ephesians.

The Resurrection showed His vindication of having defeated death, sin, Satan, Hell, and the grave for those He represented: His sheep. This is the Resurrection's role in justification and union with Christ, which we clearly see through the lens of the Gospel. Rom 4:22 "And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for him alone that it was imputed to him, Rom 4:24 but for us also to whom it is to be imputed, to those believing on Him who has raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Rom 4:25 who was delivered because of our offenses and was raised for our justification." The phrase "who was delivered because of our offenses and was raised for our justification" uses the English word "for." Biblical Sovereign grace emphasizes that salvation—including justification is entirely God's initiative, rooted in His electing love, Christ's finished work, and the irresistible application of grace to the elect, with no contribution from human merit or decision.

The Gospel of God's free and sovereign grace shows God's eternal decree, the absolute holiness of Christ, and His substitutionary atonement for the elect as foundational to our justification; the two concepts of "The Grave Could Not Hold Him" and "Justified in the Spirit" harmonize and intersect in the Resurrection.

We examine what the LORD Jesus Christ, as the Eternal Word of God, THE Prophet of God, as God, has said as He made some specific and explicit prophecies of His own death and resurrection. This affirmed His divine authority and the certainty of God's redemptive purpose, and the glory that surrounds it. Don't forget that we are looking at this not merely as a historical event, but in the Gospel sense of the doctrine. It was a vindication of the accomplished work of Christ as He fulfilled the purpose of God in His Eternal, Trinitarian counsel. Scripture testifies that Christ, during His ministry, mentions things He had done, was doing, and would do that would contribute to fulfilling all righteousness. If an everlasting righteousness would not be brought in, worked out, established, or merited for His people as He created the gift of righteousness by His Person and work, then we have no hope, no confident expectation to lean on for assurance.

The Biblical Resurrection is an essential Gospel doctrine. It is part of God's eternal decree, prophesied centuries before Christ on earth, displaying His absolute, sovereign control over the complete (past, present, and future of both) time and eternity, as well as the full salvation of His people. As we look at this doctrine more closely, we need to see it a bit deeper, into the eternal mind and counsel of God, in the way His wise Trinitarian purpose shows Christ being set forth as FIRST in consideration of revealing God's Triune glory, in the inter-workings of the economy of the Trinity as revealed in the righteousness of God, manifested in the Person of Christ and His complete work. AGAIN, the ontology of the Trinity (His nature and essence) WHO He IS, and the expression of that in the economy by WHAT He DOES, based on who He IS. Psa 16:8 "I have set the LORD always before Me; because He is at My right hand, I shall not be moved. Psa 16:9 Therefore My heart is glad, and My glory rejoices; My flesh also shall rest in hope; Psa 16:10 For You will not leave My soul in hell; You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption. Psa 16:11 You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

1Ti 3:14 "I write these things to you, hoping to come to you shortly. 1Ti 3:15 But if I should delay, that you may know how you ought to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among nations, believed on in the world, and received up into glory." The GodMan is the absolute standard of Godliness. Holy, righteous, godly, etc., start with the LORD God Almighty as both the standard and the example or pattern to look to.

Rom 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." This topic series is MILK, and the push-back from most claiming to be sovereign grace, Calvinist, Reformed is clear evidence of the offense of the cross, and that most of them are merely toying with theology to intellectually tickle their brain. Define: The context of Universal Atonement (Unlimited Atonement) comes in a trio of 3 combined lies: God loves everybody, Christ died for everybody, and God wants to save everybody. These 3 things stand or fall together.

So, we are seeing very clearly, so far, they are not even close (They oppose each other.) The interpretations of biblical texts are nowhere near each other. God's ETERNAL Purpose of the cross of Christ. The roll-out in executing that purpose as we examine BOTH the Person and work of Christ. Assessing the merit of the Person and work of Christ, specifically, whether it accomplished anything up to that point. The effect of what it accomplished in the application of the benefits. If anyone has been paying attention so far (we're in part 12), nothing in the comparison even remotely resembles the other view. One is accurately described, biblically, for the glory of God Almighty, and the other is propped up and upheld by humanistic imagination under the influence of the spirit of antichrist. In case clarity escaped anyone, Universal Atonement is a Satanic, blasphemous lie that has never been used as a means of the power of God unto Salvation.
