It seems to me that some Christians approach the Bible as if it was just written to encourage them. Like God just wanted to send us a Hallmark card to make us feel better when life gets us down. While it is true the Bible is very encouraging, it does so much more than that.

Today we're going freestyle. I started a new job this week and worked a little overtime so I didn't have time to get into a deep biblical topic. Today I want to discuss something that's been on my list for a while. Some people don't like wearing Christian apparel, jewelry, or toting a bible around. Other people probably take it too far. Some people even mock and/or rebuke people who do these things. In this episode, I want to talk about a possible outcome of wearing Christian apparel and having a bible in your hand and the coffee shop. An outcoe I don't hear many people talk about.

It's time to get back at it with the first bible study of season 2. If you are new to the podcast, every other month I post on the Facebook page for everyone to post a verse or passage that's been on their heart lately.
