Jervis Tetch (Benedict Samuel) begins his revenge on Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) for the death of his sister Alice as he kidnaps and hypnotizes several civilians into life-threatening situations. He forces Jim to choose whom he will save. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) realizes his true feelings for Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) and plans to confess his love to him, but a familiar face comes back into Nygma's life. As Tetch makes his game more personal, the stakes get higher for Jim as Tetch later kidnaps Valerie Vale (Jamie Chung) and Leslie Tompkins (Morena Baccarin). At a macabre tea party he again forces Gordon to make a choice. This time he asks who “Who do you Love?”, “Who should I kill?”; as Jim answers a single shot rings out  as his choice is made.
