2025 was absolute butts! Heck, even a lot of the games in 2025 were pretty butts! That doesn't mean there weren't some absolute masterpieces though, and we sit down in our annual look back to talk through the games that affected us the most: games that were wonderful, surprising, heartbreaking, and sometimes just stupid (positive).

In this episode: movie of the year (it's kpop demon hunters OBVS), the year 202026 is going to be our year, games everyone has to play, tight little 8-hour packages, Gary's narrative agenda, being mad about spoilers (we've blocked any major spoilers though don't worry), this game is my #2 game of the year (I can't recommend it though, heavens no), Metaphor Re:Fantasio for some godforsaken reason, the Feather & Gary & Maslow Pyramid of queerness, games that make you think, games that make you cry, and a game of the year surprise.
